SALT LAKE CITY -- Cottonwood High School's thrilling come-from-behind victory over Alta caused the biggest shakeup in this week's KSL Coaches' Poll. The Colts trailed 21-14 with less than four minutes left in the football game when Alta lined up for a field goal that would have iced the game -- but everything changed in a matter of 28 seconds.

Alta's field goal attempt was botched and ended up in the hands of Colts linebacker Anthony Lewis, who ran 80 yards for the game, tying score. Twenty-eight seconds later the Colts had a 28-21 lead. Four plays later the Colts' Kami Sofele intercepted a Boston Handley pass and returned it 52 yards for the game-winning score. It was an improbable comeback that the Colts dedicated to former Head Coach Teko Johnson, who passed away this summer.

The win moves Cottonwood from unranked to third in this week's poll. Bingham continues to be a unanimous No. 1 selection after they opened the season with a 51-0 victory at Viewmont. Also in the top five are Davis, Lone Peak and Alta falls to No. 5.

In 4A, Timpview is still the unanimous choice at No. 1 after going on the road and beating Pleasant Grove 24-7. Springville moves up to No., 3 followed by Bountiful. The Braves move up one spot despite losing to Lone Peak. Spanish Fork moves into the top five while Highland falls from the rankings. The Rams suffered a 28-14 loss at No. 2 Mountain Crest.

3A now has a new No. 1 team in the Hurricane Tigers. They needed a Corey Edwards 24-yard field goal with 5.7 seconds left in the game to defeat Skyline. The big win vaults the Tigers ahead of two-time defending champion Juan Diego, who lost a heartbreaker in overtime to another 5A team, West. Morgan maintains its hold on No. 3 while the last two spots have changed. The Cedar Redmen move up to No. 4 after an impressive 23-0 performance against American Fork. Judge Memorial rounds out the poll after a win against Tooele. Wasatch drops from the top five after being upset at Grantsville.

In 2A, South Summit and San Juan remain in the top two spots while the other three spots change. Beaver moves up to No. 3 after winning at home against North Summit. Millard and Grand fall back one spot after losing to 3A competition while Enterprise drops from the rankings.

1A remained steady except for No. 5 as Layton Christian takes over that spot after defeating previous No. 5 Milford.
